“Some people cross your path and change your whole direction”- unknown
Imagine a life where your bank account generates a healthy monthly income, complete job security, a home filled with all of the necessities to live a comfortable lifestyle, a beautiful car that reminds you of your successes and the luxury of time to reflect on your goals.
And then imagine your entire life being completely shaken up by a person that you had never imagined meeting. Imagine looking into their eyes and seeing your own life reflect back with clarity, imagine hearing their voice and being completely mesmerised by the way it vibrates deep within you.
They had (unbeknownst to them) accidentally opened your eyes and removed the chiffon screen that you had dressed your view with, they had stolen your heart and left their finger prints all over it and then they left just as suddenly as they had appeared; and all you could do was look at the destruction around you in amazement.
Imagine waking up and seeing a stranger look back at you in the mirror; imagine being constantly distracted by the notion that you’re missing something, imagine your daily rituals leaving you to drift off into a dreamlike world where you long to be.
Imagine allowing time to pass…
And now imagine waking up one morning and looking at a map; knowing exactly where you need to be, imagine getting the courage to make the decision based on a constant ache, imagine booking a one way ticket to your destination, imagine packing up all of your belongings and with every box feel a weight being lifted.
Imagine leaving everything and everyone that you know behind, imagine crying 30,000 feet in the air because your heart aches, imagine landing at your destination and feel the lightest you have ever felt, Imagine watching things fall into place around you as if you’re watching yourself in a beautiful movie, imagine your heart swell, imagine your face ache from smiling.
Now, imagine if the person that came into your life and changed your direction was never meant to stay for any longer than they did. Imagine that their sole purpose was to get you to your destination.
