Koh Rong Samloem

Island life in Cambodia is just as you would imagine; calm, tranquil and stunningly beautiful. But the real highlight of the islands is when the sun disappears…

Upon night fall when the moon is black, bioluminescent plankton appears in the sea. You may not be able to see it from the shore, but take one step into the water and splash a little… you will be surrounded by glittery green plankton that sparkles magnificently.

Other things to see and do:

Jungle treks

swimming in the sea

relaxing in a hammock

Island life is pretty simple.

General experience:

Koh Rong Samloem is a beautiful island with many beaches. Some people find it difficult to choose where to stay or which beach to choose but in all honesty, you can’t really go wrong.

Kampot is an amazing town with great food, landscapes and the best pepper you will ever taste.

Things to see and do:

Hire a moped or motorbike

Pepper plantations

Bokor National park (you can find abandoned buildings up here)

Drive out to Kep

General Experience:

Kampot is a beautiful trap, you will never want to leave; with great food, friendly people and stunning views everywhere. I genuinely enjoyed my time in Kampot and ended up spending 5 days here. The best thing to do is to hire a moped/ motorbike in order to ride around and see what you want at your own pace. You won’t be disappointed.

Peppered Crab

Kep is a small town 30 minutes away from Kampot. Why should you visit? The peppered crab at the Crab Market. The Crab Market is where they catch and cook the crab before your eyes in a delicious pepper sauce. The whole experience is unbeatable!
